I would not mind at all if Westin ended up here as a permanent resident. Unfortunately, I can’t keep them all and we need to make room for the horses who have no homes at all. Westin has an adorable personality and is loved by all. He retired from racing as a 4 year old with minor arthritis. Despite that, someone turned him into a superstar jumper with an elite eventing barn. He had amazing talent in both jumping and dressage. Unfortunately, the aggressive and rigorous training and jumping show schedule crippled him. He was dumped out in a field. The prior owner/trainer found him in poor condition and brought him home. In March 2008 he was given to SCR. We have worked diligently to make him comfortable and sound. I believe Westin would stay sound for trails and light arena work. We will put him to work this spring/summer and see how he does.
