For those seeking assistance in placing their horse, Second Chance Ranch offers a virtual placement program. If it is not urgent to surrender your horse, SCR will make every effort to assist you. Horses in the virtual placement program are able to stay at their current location while SCR lends their expertise in advertising and screening potential adopters. The key to a successful adoption is recognizing a good match for a long-term relationship between the horse and rider. SCR receives a 20% commission on the proceeds for our services. Using our adoption contract is optional at no additional fee.

The benefits of this program:

- The adopter is allowed to meet the current owner so that important details are not lost in translation and to see the horse in its current environment for a fair evaluation.

- The current horse owner is allowed to take part in placing the horse and can rest assured that it has found a good home.

- It preserves space for truly homeless or injured horses at SCR's facility.
