Slick, as we adoringly call him, came to us as a 2 yr old. His sire, Slewdledo was one of the finest stallions in Washington (by Seattle Slew). Slick was born with excellent confirmation and had a promising career head of him, unfortunately it was cut short by a pasture accident in the field. Compression of the spine, in his neck, resulted in a condition known as Wobbler's Syndrome. Hence the name "slick" because his back end would slide all over the place...
Although Slick will never race, he has become strong and healthy! Like most Slewdledo babies, Slick is huge! By four years old slick was just over 16.h. Many Slew kids top out at 16.3 - 17h. Glo, one of our residents took little Slicker under his wing and protected and coached him. Slick can keep up with any horse in the field. He has no idea he is a little "different" and we're not going to tell him!
