Captain is by one of Washington's top breeding stallions. He came off the Emerald Downs race track in September 2008 - perfectly sound! A stunning mover - gentle-hearted, with a desire to learn, bond, and have fun. He is a definite dressage prospect, and would enjoy trails.

Like many racehorses, Captain is very focused and willing under saddle and fully understands "partnership". He's a professional!  Somewhere along the way, even with a very kind and loving trainer/owner he became a bit sour on the ground. He's all business when riding, but opinionated on the ground.  Captain is a stunning mover, with athletic ability. He moves easily off the leg, tracks fluidly both directions, and makes nice, soft transitions. I would consider him green, but with amazing natural talent and ability. He would do well with a rider who had the experience to be fair and consistent, he would not be suited for a beginner - I think he would be to easily discouraged, but he would blossom with a fair and quiet hand. Captain is a horse who knows how to focus, from his training at the track. He is definitely a one-man-horse.
