Second Chance Ranch

Congratulations to Mine that Bird for a spectacular run at the Derby!

As of May 2, Second Chance Ranch had raised approximately $5,000 - or approximately 14% of its fundraising goal. If you have made a gift, please accept our thanks on behalf of the horses and communities we help.

Just as Mine that Bird came from behind to win the Derby, we believe we can still meet our $35,000 fundraising goal!  Therefore, we have extended our campaign through the month of June to allow additional time to raise these much-needed funds.

With your support, Second Chance Ranch will continue to provide a valuable service to the horses and equestrian community that we serve.

If you have not yet, please make a donation now – online and securely through PayPal.

Since 1991, Second Chance Ranch has been providing rescue, rehabilitation and transitioning services to the Northwest horse community. We currently have 35 horses at our facility and in foster care.  The cost of caring for our horses in transition has dramatically increased over the past two years. In addition, pleas for assistance from owners in crisis have tripled during the recession.

Even small donations can help:
·         Your gift of $5 will provide a days’ worth of hay for one horse.
·         Your gift of $35 pays for one farrier care (hoof trim).
·         Your gift of $75 pays provides 5 bales of hay for a needy horse in our community.   ·         Your gift of $150 provides wormer for 30 horses.
·         Your gift of $200 provides annual dental care and vaccination for one horse.

You can also donate by mail. Checks should be made payable to Second Chance Ranch.  As a non-profit 501(c)(3)organization, your donation is tax deductible. Mail your checks to:
